The Family Prism Project uplifts and connects diverse families across the West Valley of Phoenix by providing affirming resources, inclusive community spaces, and advocacy rooted in equity. We center LGBTQ+ families, families of color, and all caregivers who seek belonging in Peoria, Deer Valley, and Dysart Unified School Districts. Through education, celebration, and mutual support, we work to ensure that every family is seen, heard, and empowered in their child’s educational journey.
We believe every family deserves to feel seen, welcomed, and valued—regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, language, or family structure. We cultivate spaces where difference is celebrated, not just tolerated.
We’re laying the groundwork for programs that celebrate families, build community, and advocate for equity in local schools. From storytelling events and caregiver gatherings to resource nights and student celebrations, our first offerings are coming soon. We can’t wait to grow this work with you.
We’re just getting started—but our vision is bold. The Family Prism Project exists to ensure every family in the West Valley feels seen, supported, and powerful in their child’s educational journey. As we grow our programs and partnerships, we’re planting the seeds of lasting change. Join us in building a future where belonging is real—for everyone.
The Family Prism Project is ready to grow—and we need your support to make it official. We're working toward limited licensure and 501(c)(3) nonprofit status so we can apply for grants, host events, and deepen our impact in the West Valley.
The Family Prism Project is powered by community—and we need yours to grow.
We’re currently seeking passionate, equity-minded volunteers to help shape our foundation and bring our mission to life. Whether you’re ready to take on a leadership role or offer your time and talents, there’s a place for you here.
We’re forming a small, committed group of volunteers to serve as our first board of directors and officers. If you believe in our mission and want to guide our direction, this is a powerful way to lead. No nonprofit experience required—just heart, vision, and a willingness to learn together.
We’re planning storytelling nights, caregiver circles, and community celebrations. We need help finding spaces, welcoming families, setting up, and keeping things joyful and inclusive.
